“As if it were for my own party I was planning the florals for!” explains owner Pearl Meyer when describing the work she does for her business, The Blonde Tulip Floral Design. Located in the heart of Coconut Grove, Florida.
The Blonde Tulip has been s uccessfully designing and creating world recognized floral works since 2001. Pearl’s use of high quality and unique floral products has helped The Blonde Tulip become one of South Florida’s most sought after floral businesses.
Pearl has had a passion for florals all of her life, a highlight of which was working with relatives in the industry in Holland. She is pictured here in her cousin’s freesia greenhouse in Brackel, Holland.
With her background in horticulture and design and a keen eye for style and good taste, Pearl, along with her expert team, creates extraordinary floral designs that impress.

Corporate clients of The Blonde Tulip include Grove Isle Resort, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel of Coconut Grove, Crispin Porter & Bogusky, The Mayfair Hotel, Williams Island, Hyatt Bonaventure and H & H Jewels to name a few. Doing weddings and working with the brides is a specialty of The Blonde Tulip and a favorite part of the work for Pearl. She says, “I tend to get very involved with my brides and want every detail to be so perfect".
Sometimes I wonder if I am living vicariously through them.” One favorite compliment received was in a letter from a mother of the groom who wrote, “Pearl worked with us like we were family!”
The Blonde Tulip works one on one with clients to assist them in sending the perfect gift of fresh flowers or orchid plants.
Finding out details about the recipient or occasion insure the appropriate florals are used. Some clients require special help not only in flower selection but in wording their exact sentiments on the enclosure card.
Markham, who is one of The Blonde Tulips long time clients, referred to The Blonde Tulip as “A true romantics’ secret weapon”. Pearl liked the phrase so much that she had it printed on their delivery van.
